With years of professional experience at ULS Póvoa de Varzim/Vila do Conde, Patrícia recently co-founded Birthland, aiming to provide comprehensive support and information on pregnancy, labour, postpartum, breastfeeding, and parenting. Central to this initiative is the empowerment of women and families to make informed choices for societal well-being.
Patrícia advocates for evidence-based practice, kindness, and respect as fundamental human rights. She believes that the treatment of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, as well as the healthcare provided by institutions, reflects society’s values and attitudes towards women.
