Joana Pinheiro

Joana Pinheiro is a nutritionist graduated from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Porto, specialized in Clinical Nutrition.

She has always believed in the body’s capacity for healing and regeneration, provided it is equipped with the necessary “tools.” Joana emphasizes the uniqueness of each individual and considers understanding their medical history essential for improving their health status. Consequently, she embarked on an early quest to delve deeper into the origins and causes of people’s health problems. Functional and Orthomolecular Nutrition emerged as one of her passions and work tools. Her clinical practice is based on an integrative, individualized approach that respects the patient’s free and informed decision-making.

Her interest in women’s health arose from her life journey. Joana regards interventions at various life stages, such as preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and the first years of a baby’s life, as invaluable. She believes that every action can impact not only a woman’s health but also the conception and development of a baby. Therefore, she finds great satisfaction in assisting women facing specific conditions of women’s health, such as endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, among others.

At UTERUS, Joana found a specialized, compassionate multidisciplinary team that shares the same ideologies she defends. Together, they offer differentiated support in women’s health.
