Andreia Barros

Andreia graduated from the Nursing School of Porto in 2004, yet early in her nursing career she developed an interest in unconventional therapies. This interest stemmed from her desire to gain a comprehensive understanding of health and the world from diverse perspectives.

In 2011, she obtained a specialization in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences. This specialized program, conducted in collaboration with the University of Heidelberg in Germany, provided training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Through her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Andreia embraced a holistic view of the human body, perceiving it as an ever-changing ecosystem that interacts dynamically with its environment. Motivated by her desire to contribute to a multidisciplinary team, where each member brings their unique expertise, Andreia joined the esteemed team at UTERUS. She believes that only through this collaborative approach can the complexity of human health be fully understood, and optimal outcomes achieved.
